Chile - Bolivia 4:0 plus a souvenir by the police...

So... yesterday was an interesting day.... with personal souvenir!
First of all we went to the Game Chile – Bolivia... and Chile won 4 – 0. It was really loads of fun. In the football stadium nobody is allowed to drink alcohol, or at least you cannot take any drinks with you, and you also cant buy alcohol, so more or less there is no alcohol ;)... and no fights at all, at least i didnt see anything... Afterwards we left with the crowd and were lucky to get a cab right away to get to Plaza Italia. (Sophie, Rianna, Juan Carlos and me)
When we got closer to Plaza Italia there was a huge party going on! We wanted to buy some drinks, but more or less everything around plaza italia closed and in the restaurants we couldnt buy any bottles to take outside... later i knew why.
We stood there for some time and just watched people celebrating... the police force was already waiting. In the middle of the Plaza they had 4 vehiculos with water canons and other smaller ones waiting in the surroundings. And also here and there groups of police.... Well we were on the side of the plaza... we already saw people throwing bottles and everything towards the policemen... it really felt like throwing bones towards a dog to get him to play^^.
So at some point the whole crowed started screaming and running in our direction. So we were so shocked and just started running as well, there was no way to stop. I even saw a guy lying on the ground and the crowed was just running over him. There was no way to stop them!!! We kept on running.. at some point i just lost all my friends and couldnt see them anymore.. On the left side of the street was a small police car which sprayed tear gas in the crowed so i got loads of that in my face... and kept on running.. alone.. so i thought i rather take the next street to the right to get home as soon as possible... cause i lived really close! Well, wrong street i guess... i was running, at some point walking cause all the others were walking more or less chilled... at some point i just heard them screaming „Paaacos“ (police)... and i continued running and i saw that the watercanon thingi came.. which in my opinion is really scary.. so first of all i got soaked from water... and then i tried to get out of scope of the water.. but there were already like 6 policemen waiting and they hit everybody who passed them. So me as well! Which was a quite scary moment for me!! I never thought they would hit me. I was out of the crowed.. i am pretty obviously a foreigner, and usually i think i have the appearance of somebody innocent.. wouldnt you agree??? At least not as somebody violent .... so at that moment i was soaked of water, got hit quite hard by a policmen with his bat and still was not at home. So i had to keep running and was full of adrenaline. At the point i got to my home i was so in rage! I told my doorman how the police in Chile can just randomly hit people on the street.. he basically told me that we did something wrong... well i get his point that they throw bottles at them and stuf.. BUT I DIDNT DO THAT ^^...
In the elevator were some other people and i was almost crying.. i didnt, but almost ;).. and i was just like that the police in chile has to learn a lot, and they totally agreed ;)... video
When i got home i still didnt know where Rianne, Sophie and Juan Carlos were... i just had to get out of my tight jeans cause that really hurted on my butt :D... and outside was still something going on , so i was watching the police cars passing by...
At some point my friends appeared and i think they were harder hit by the tear gas. So we got my roomate to tell us what to do... so they ate some lemon and put salt under their eyes ;). thats what you learn in Chile!!
And they were crying over and over again ;).. but i think the salt really helpt! Then they told me their story.. they continued running the other direction and turned into a smaller street at some point full of flaiters! Somebody touched Sophie and one other guy who was totally drunk kicked Juan carlos while another one tried to steal his cell phone. He still has his cellphone, but they told me that everybody was looking at them like they want to rob them. A street full of flaiters ;).. So whats better? Flaiters o Pacos? ;)
Anyway, it still was a fun night... i experienced a lot of the Chilean Culture and i really lost my immunity of being a foreigner and some kind of tourist ;).. i fell integrated now..haha... AND i have a Souvenir i will remember for quite some time. Yesterday it was just red and now it has deep blue strips around it... One big red stripe and blue around it ;)..
